The Oil Spill
At this point, if you haven't heard of the BP oil spill please contact me and let me know where I can go to live in that sheltered of a world. Not really, but anywho, this oil spill is a big deal. I think that this problem needs to be fixed and FAST. I have heard that the spill is leaking a s**t ton oil into the gulf and that there is no end in sight. If I remember correctly one analyst said that it is leaking up to 100,000 barrels a day. It has now reached the shore and is harming animals and the environment. I think BP needs to haul a** and get it fixed. I know this is tough since the leak is a mile down and it has to be fixed all by remote control. But there is technology available to do this. I think that what has been done to this point has been half a** effort and I think they need to be a little more enthusiastic about fixing the problem. I don't think we need to go as far as to boycott BP though. I don't think there is too much we as regular people can do other than to maybe donate towards the aid of animals cause. I think the problem can be solved only be BP. They're the ones who need to kick it into gear and fix the problem.

I saw a picture in the Free Press of people cleaning a Pelican but I have to wonder what they do with them after they clean them up. They can't put them back in the same water or they'd just get covered in oil again.
ReplyDeleteI like your approach. At least is not blaming but trying to be part of the solution. I did not think about donating for the rescue of the animals, that is a good point. It is going to take years to clean the Gulf of Mexico, but united we can do anything. May God help us.
